Tokyo Dining, a table service restaurant in the Japan pavilion at EPCOT, will be closing for a major remodeling project on November 20, 2022. The restaurant is expected to reopen in the summer of 2023 with a new look. No further information is available at this time.
The project and closure were just announced today, just a day before the restaurant will be shuttered for several months. Tokyo Dining reopened for a limited time during the holidays in 2020, then reopened on a somewhat limited basis in 2021.
With the closure, Takumi-Tei, the signature restaurant located on the ground floor of the same building in the pavilion, is expected to reopen any day now. This will be the first time that restaurant has operated in any capacity since March 2020.
