Do you have a favorite holiday Disney movie?
Maybe you love Santa Clause (and are definitely watching The Santa Clauses series on Disney+). Maybe your favorite holiday movie is Home Alone. Or maybe you think the best holiday movie of all-time is The Muppet Christmas Carol, which released in theaters 30 years ago (okay, now we feel OLD).
If your answer is The Muppet Christmas Carol, you are getting a very special opportunity to see it IN A THEATER in Disney World! D23 is hosting a special screening on December 4th at AMC Disney Springs! Not only will the screening celebrate the 30th anniversary of the movie, but the D23 team “will offer up an exclusive behind-the-scenes presentation filled with fun facts about this holiday classic.”
Did we mention guests will be encouraged to sing along? Oh yeah! PLUS you’ll get a chance to show off your ugliest holiday sweater in the Ugly Sweater Showcase. But wait, there’s more! After the screening, you’ll get a sweet treat from Gideon’s Bakehouse (okay, we are IN!).
Guests will also receive a special The Muppet Christmas Carol 30th anniversary ornament, a free medium-size fountain drink, and an event-exclusive The Muppet Christmas Carol caroling book.
So how can you get in on this? Well, you can buy tickets on November 18th on the D23 website. Tickets for D23 Gold Members are $24.99 (plus $7 processing fee) per person. General members will pay $34.99 per ticket (plus $7 processing fee) per person. If you’re not a member, you can become a general member FOR FREE — just sign up on the D23 website!
So if you’ve always wanted to see The Muppet Christmas Carol in movies (and really, who doesn’t?), be sure to grab those tickets while they’re still available! And remember — light the lamp, not the rat!
