Disney’s Blizzard Beach Reopens With New Tropical Santa and Frozen Themed Area

The Holidays have provided the perfect theme for Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopening, with lovely, festive touches showing up all over the long-closed water park. Wreath-designed tubes can be found in the lazy river, and a tropical Santa has taken up residence near Sonny’s Sleds. Santa’s outfit is fit for a summer Christmas (just like here in Australia), sporting shorts, high socks, and a sun-safe hat.

Celebrate the holidays at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park—featuring a flurry of festivities from November 13 through December 31, 2022.

Merry moments await you across the water park. Get ready to:

  • Meet Santa Claus! He’s dressed for a day of tropical fun.
  • Behold a stunning snowfall in select locations.
  • Savor seasonal menu items, like a Peppermint Milkshake, Orange Bird Santa Cone, and more.
  • Find yuletide touches in the park—including holiday-themed inner tubes!

There’s jolly good fun for everyone this holiday season—and it’s all included with your valid water park admission.

All experiences are subject to change.

The holidays weren’t the only featured theme on the agenda; Blizzard Beach was also busy showing off the new upgrade to Tike’s Peak, having been transformed into a Frozen paradise. Enjoy the snow-capped area with Olaf, as well as youngsters Elsa and Anna, as you explore the polar-themed play area.

The park’s opening comes after an extended refurbishment closure that took the better part of a year to complete and will now see the closing of the sister water park, Typhoon Lagoon, as a refurbishment project begins at that location.
