If You Love Boma, You Can’t Miss This EPCOT Festival Booth

We’re trying all kinds of eats at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays this year!

Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT

All the booths to try can feel overwhelming, but that’s why we’re here! We’re bringing you reviews of all the offerings at each booth so you know what to put on your “must-try” list. Let’s head over to Refreshment Outpost for their festival eats and drinks.

Refreshment Outpost is a quick-service restaurant in EPCOT that often comes up with specialty snacks during EPCOT’s festivals.

Refreshment Outpost

This year, it has a new snack, an exclusive treat, and a few returning drinks.

Menu

To eat, you can try the new Peanut Stew, which is plant-based. There’s also a Raspberry Dole Whip on the menu.

The drinks are all returning from previous years, including the UFO Beer Company Triple Berry Teleporter Fruited Wheat Beer, the Stem Ciders Cocoa Caramel Hard Apple Cider, and the Boulevard Brewing Co. Unfiltered Wheat Beer, each of which is $11.25. Note that all those drinks are alcoholic.

There’s also the new Cinnamon Frozen Coca-Cola drink, which is exclusive to Disney World Annual Passholders and comes served in a special souvenir cup. The drink is garnished with apple chips and costs $5.25.

Let’s get to the tasting!

Food

First up is the plant-based Peanut Stew made with sweet potatoes, mustard greens, rice, and roasted peanuts for $5.25

Peanut Stew

We thought this stew was AMAZING. The stew itself seems to be made with a base of peanut butter, and there are definitely some savory spices mixed in. There’s a little bit of heat, which we really enjoyed, but if you really don’t like spice then you might want to skip this one. It tasted like the peanut butter rice that you can find at Boma!

SO GOOD

The roasted peanuts on top are well-seasoned, and the sweet potatoes bring some interesting texture as well. We loved the mix of all the different textures, and the spices were very well-balanced. Overall, we thought this was a delicious dish and one that even most non-plant-based eaters will love.

You can also grab the Raspberry Dole Whip for $6. This is a pretty classic Dole Whip treat, and it’s also plant-based.

Raspberry Dole Whip

We thought this treat was really good and refreshing! The raspberry flavor might have come from crushed freeze-dried raspberries (at least, that’s how it tasted to us), so it wasn’t really a fresh flavor, but it didn’t taste too artificial or syrupy, either.

Yum!

If you like classic pineapple Dole Whip, we think this is a fun option that’s similar to the OG but with just a little twist.

We also found the Annual Passholder-exclusive Cinnamon Frozen Coca-Cola for $5.25.

This drink made us wish that cinnamon Coca-Cola was available year-round, because if it were, we’d drink it all the time. Adding that extra spice gave it a really delicious kick (although it wasn’t hot-spicy at all).

Delicious

The only thing we’d change about this drink is to maybe add more apple flavor to the drink itself. The apple crisps on top were delicious dipped in the drink, and we’d love more of that combination.

Overall

Everything at this food booth was a hit this year! We loved the Peanut Stew — it’s a great savory option that’s filling and flavorful. The Raspberry Dole Whip is refreshing and delicious, and we were big fans of that frozen Coca-Cola. Whether you’re looking for something sweet or savory, this booth is a great choice.
