Universal Orlando Resort
- Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a rainy October day, but the grey skies set the mood for spooky season. Let’s grab our umbrellas and head on into the parks to see what’s new in a photo report from October 28.
- Wreaths, garlands, and more decorations have been hung with care throughout both Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida.
- Stay warm this Florida winter with a new Universal Orlando Annual Passholder jersey, now available at the parks.
Universal Studios Florida
- The first house for next year’s Halloween Horror Nights has been announced. “Chucky” is coming back to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Universal Orlando Resort has announced more than half of the Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone area at Universal Studios Florida will close in January.
- Halloween season is over, which means the Dead Coconut Club overlay of the Red Coconut Club at Universal CityWalk Orlando has closed. But Universal has teased that the club will receive a new holiday overlay with the name Green & Red Coconut Club.
- Christmas isn’t just taking over The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but all of Universal Studios Florida. Holiday decorations can now be seen in almost every inch of the park.
- Work continues on the building that previously housed Shrek 4-D.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
- The Watering Hole in Jurassic Park is one of our all time favorite bars at Universal Orlando Resort, and now it’s gotten even better with the addition of two gluten free cocktail options!
- The Grinch meet and greet will be in a different location in Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure this year.
- Half of the Thunder Falls Terrace dining room in Universal’s Islands of Adventure has been closed off due to a leaky roof.
- Decorate your Christmas tree with two new “Harry Potter” ornaments and dress up for the holiday party with new Deathly Hallows apparel from Universal Orlando Resort.
- Honeydukes in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure has several new houseware items, an apron, and a collection of jewelry.
Universal Orlando CityWalk
- Fans of Earl the Squirrel rejoice! On a visit to Universal Orlando Resort, we found a new Earl the Squirrel plush, ornament, and tumbler at Universal CityWalk Orlando.
- Universal is sprucing up various areas of Universal CityWalk Orlando while construction continues on Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
Universal Studios Hollywood

- With Super Nintendo World set to open in early 2023, Universal Studios Hollywood Platinum Annual Passholders are learning what privileges they will and won’t have.

Universal Beijing Resort
- Universal Beijing Resort has reopened after a COVID-related closure on October 26.
