Guests will no longer have to haul their own tube up the towering staircase to ride Runoff Rapids at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. During the extended closure, a cargo tube lift was constructed to carry tubes to the top of the attraction.
The tube lift is right next to the landing pool for Runoff Rapids.
Cast Members at the bottom load the tubes into a slot.
The tubes are carried via conveyor belt up to the top of the slide.
At the top, the tubes are slid down to the Cast Members.
The tube lift is themed as a cargo lift to fit in.

Blizzard Beach reopened on November 13 after an 11-month closure. In addition to the cargo tube lift, Tike’s Peak received a “Frozen” retheme during the extended refurbishment.
