REVIEW: Candy Cane Churro Returns with New Peppermint Bark Dipping Sauce at Disneyland

Once again, you can combine the most iconic Christmas treat with the most iconic Disneyland treat as the Candy Cane Churro returns for the holiday season. This year, it’s joined by a new Peppermint Bark Dipping Sauce. You can find them both at the churro cart nearest Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Candy Cane Churro – $5.75

The Candy Cane Churro is one of the simpler churros offered, but it is also the tastiest and truest to the holidays. The beauty is in the simplicity of the ingredients: a regular cinnamon churro with white chocolate and chocolate drizzle sprinkled with crushed candy canes. The candy cane churro still tasted like a churro, but enhanced with holiday flavors.  We come back for this year after year.

Peppermint Bark Dipping Sauce – $1.50

It had a plain piece of white chocolate on top, but we aren’t sure why. It wasn’t like you could mix it into the dip. We suppose you could scoop it up with the churro, but it really adds nothing.

This is a delicious, warm chocolate dip that is super thick and rich. The mint isn’t too strong, but it is still present. And it’s not a toothpaste mint like the Mint Chocolate Dipping Sauce from the cart in Town Square, it’s a proper peppermint flavor. It’s subdued and doesn’t smack you in the face, allowing the chocolate to be the star of the show. Overall, we really enjoyed this dip, but we actually enjoyed it more with a plain churro.

The holiday season at Disneyland runs from November 11 through January 8.
