Disneyland is serving up tons of sweets and treats for the holidays, including a unique mashup of two classic baked goods — the Holiday Cookie Pretzel.
It’s available at the pretzel cart in Frontierland.
Holiday Cookie Pretzel – $8.25
Ginger snap cookie-dusted pretzel with vanilla icing dipping sauce
We were not expecting to like this. We thought the combination of ginger snaps, pretzels, and sweet vanilla icing was going to be awful. Boy, were we wrong. This is delicious.
The roasted flavor of the pretzel works well with the spiced ginger snap. The vanilla icing is thin and just sweet enough to provide that touch of sugar that satisfies but isn’t overpowering (it also isn’t served on the side as a dipping sauce as the menu says, but is drizzled over the pretzel).
In addition to being a super cute snack, it’s very well done, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The holiday season at Disneyland runs from November 11 through January 8.
