Gideon’s Bakehouse has debuted their December 2022 holiday menu a little early and the Kris Kringle and Krampus cookies have returned.
This month’s collectible menu features Natala the Christmas Witch, a figure reminiscent of La Befana, wearing a witch hat that looks like a Christmas tree.
Kris Kringle – $6
A complexly flavored white chocolate coffee bean cookie
This cookie is delicious. It tastes like a sugar cookie but with a plethora of white chocolate chips.
There’s a definite crunch from the sprinkles and the coffee taste is prominent. It balances the sweetness of the white chocolate. They complement each other well without either being overpowering.
Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies are always well-baked and soft.
We definitely recommend the Kris Kringle cookie.
Krampus – $6
The darkest chocolate with a blast of cooling Andes Mint
The base of this tastes like the standard Gideon’s chocolate cookie with mini-chocolate chips. They do not skimp on the Andes Mints, however.
Both the chocolate and the mint are very strong flavors.
We think there is mint baked into the dough. Despite the powerful mintiness, it’s still an awesome treat.
We really enjoyed the Krampus cookie and recommend it for guests who love chocolate and mint together.
