Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom has a new plant-based dish available: the Impossible patty melt.
Patty Melt – $12.79
Impossible Burger topped with Plant-based Swiss Cheese, Pickle Slaw, and Asteroid Sauce (Thousand Island dressing) on Toast
The patty melt comes wrapped in foil, served with your choice of French fries or a Cuties mandarin.
The dish itself took a long time to come out. We recommend mobile ordering ahead of time so your food is ready when you arrive.
We were surprised by this dish. It was great for a plant-based dish which can be hit or miss at Walt Disney World.
The impossible patty had a nice char and was cooked well done but not over done.
If we didn’t know this was an Impossible patty, we would have thought it was regular beef. We were pleasantly surprised that we couldn’t tell the difference.
The plant-based cheese didn’t have a taste to it and was pretty bland.
The Texas toast was toasted perfectly and provided a great crunch to the sandwich.
The slaw was also delicious, providing a slightly tangy flavor and adding to the crunch of the sandwich.
The sauce was fantastic and paired great with the other ingredients. It also had a tangy taste and the perfect amount of spice needed to flavor this sandwich.
We would definitely recommend trying this the next time you visit Magic Kingdom. We know we will be getting it again!
