*NEW* Impossible Chorizo Tamale with Plant-based Cotija Cheese and Spicy Red Chile Sauce – $5.50
Wow, this was spicy! The sauce packs a lot of heat.
The cake-like texture of the tamale helps to bring down the spiciness. The impossible “meat” is slightly dry, but the sauce brings moisture to it.
It’s extremely flavorful, hearty, and shareable. This is one hot tamale we would definitely get again!
*NEW* Pernil: Mojo Pork with Tostones and Ketchup-Mayonnaise – $5.50
This is also top notch. The pork is a little bit dry, but the sauce and toppings help to put back moisture into the dish.
The tostones have a crispy exterior, and the interior is doughy. For the money, you get a lot of pork on top.
The portion size is great. This one’s another winner!
*NEW* Alfajores: Vanilla Shortbread Cookie with Dulce de Leche and Coconut – $3.00
These are shortbread cookies with vanilla flavoring, with dulce de leche spread sandwiched in between, and coconut flakes around the outside rim.
It’s dry and sandy. You’ll definitely need a drink with it. The shortbread flavoring overpowers the whole cookie. Despite all the flakes, we tasted no coconut flavoring.
Ultimately, this was bland, and we didn’t like it.
*NEW* 81Bay Brewing Co. Horchata Beer, Tampa, FL (5.7% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.
This is a light beer, not one for IPA fans. It’s refreshing, light, and simple, though it’s a bit watery. It tasted very similar to a Coors Light or Natty Light.
It’s not the best option for the beer connoisseur, but it may please a broader audience.
*NEW* Chai Ginger Mule featuring Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka – $11.50
This was very chai-forward. It’s like Christmas in a cup! The chai brings warmth into the drink. It’s refreshing and comes in a huge portion size.
This was hands-down amazing. We would honestly come back just for this. There’s not a ton of alcohol flavor in it, but it’s still great.
