It’s time for the Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure!

This yearly event runs from November 11th, 2022 to January 8th, 2023, and we’ve been busy checking out some of the booths that opened early. But, now that the Festival of Holidays has officially started, it’s time to have some treats with the big man himself — Santa!!

We’re heading over to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to have some Treats for Santa!

The Treats for Santa Cart is located on the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and this year you’ll find two drinks and one snacktivity on the list — a Cookie Decorating Kit!

Unfortunately when we went, they were out of the Maple Hazelnut Hot Buttered Rum and Cookie Decorating Kit, so keep an eye out for our updated reviews of those items later!

Drinks

We tried Santa’s Milk & Cookies Hot Cocoa! This is inspired by the upcoming Disney+ series The Santa Clauses and is made with whole milk with flavors of cookies & cream and white chocolate topped with flavored whipped cream — it sounds like a white hot chocolate!

This drink was super simple — but in the BEST way. It was really delicious and an interesting take on the traditional hot cocoa. It was hot but drinkable and we didn’t have to wait for it to cool down. The vanilla notes and cookies and cream flavors really came through at the end of each sip. Drinks like this can oftentimes be overly sweet, but we didn’t find that to be the case here!

If this is Santa’s version of hot cocoa, we can certainly understand why he’s so dang jolly all the time.
