Shawarma Palace in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is celebrating the Flavors of Wakanda with the new Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap.

Shuri’s Panther Gauntlet is also available at Shawarma Palace.

Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap – $13.99

It’s hard to usurp the throne of the greatest food in Disney California Adventure, New York’s Tastiest shawarma, but this wrap definitely makes an attempt.

It’s a heavily seasoned, very garlic amalgam of hearty pork and earthy chermoula that is savory and satisfying.

The pork flavor comes through well. It is not entirely overtaken by the spices and garlic, which is nice. Even New York’s Tastiest shawarma’s sauce overpowers the chicken, so that’s a note in favor of the Wakandan wrap.

The chermoula brings a nice earthy characteristic that, while not overtly floral like cilantro, definitely brings some life and depth to the pork and spices.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this wrap, and although it may not be 100% better than New York’s Tastiest shawarma (can you tell we really love the shawarma?), it’s definitely a contender, and you can’t go wrong with either choice.
