Guests hoping to meet the Grinch at Universal’s Islands of Adventure this year will need to utilize the virtual line system.
This year, the Grinch is meeting at Honk Honkers instead of All the Books You Can Read. Honk Honkers is across from Moose Juice, Goose Juice, near the bridge to the Lost Continent.
A sign outside Honk Honkers has a QR code to scan. It takes you to the Universal Orlando app to reserve a virtual line time.
You can also go straight there on the app without scanning the code if you want to try and snag a time before you get to Seuss Landing. We recommend this as they book very quickly.
Like for the Virtual Line when utilized at Fast and Furious: Supercharged or Race Through New York With Jimmy Fallon, you click on the Virtual Line Pass section to select your party number and a return time.
When it’s fully booked, a message pops up that reads, “No Times Available — Sorry, we’re out of Virtual Line return times right now. More times may be added, but are not guaranteed.” Team Members advised guests to keep checking the app in case more times open.
If you want to skip the line, guests on Universal’s Holiday Tour get a private meet and greet with the Grinch and his dog Max. They also get VIP access to the holiday entertainment around both parks, a photo with Santa, food, and cookies.
For all things Grinchy, don’t miss the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular nearby. You can also have breakfast with the Grinch and Friends during an add-on character dining experience. And if you want the world to know your heart grew three times larger with your love for the Grinch, check out the Merry Grinchmas jersey and Grinch head popcorn bucket.
At Universal Studios Florida, a whole room of the holiday tribute store is decorated like Who-ville, complete with a Grinch statue photo op. If you’re looking for more holiday characters to meet, Earl the Squirrel is hanging out near Silver Screen Collectibles.
The holidays at Universal Orlando Resort run from November 12, 2022, through January 1, 2023.
