Disney World really pulls out the stops around the holidays!
From the gorgeous decorations, to holiday ride overlays, to enchanting entertainment, there are plenty of things that make this time of year in the parks special. Not all of us can be there at this time, and if you’re feeling some major FOMO, we have just the thing for you. Here are 25 videos to watch that will make it feel like you’re actually at Disney right now! Just add hot chocolate and snoap.
First up, take a look inside The Haunted Mansion, which has received a very fitting overlay in Disneyland!
The days leading up to Christmas can feel a little nightmarish, huh? Especially if you ride Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland
Do you prefer the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay of this ride or the original? pic.twitter.com/ZJ97zxlCYF

Over in Disneyland, this classic attraction has been paired with The Nightmare Before Christmas for a special ride during the holiday season. It’s a match made in Halloweentown!
Other rides have received a temporary makeover, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in Disney World.

The ride, known for its classic rock soundtrack, has traded in its normal jams for a more festive playlist. These songs even feature some Guardians easter eggs!
If the food is what you’re missing about this time of year at the parks, oh, do we have a video for you.
Live vicariously through this video that takes you through all the eats at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays this year. From sweet cookies to hot soups, maybe you’ll find some inspiration for your next holiday meal!
Next up, we’re heading away from EPCOT and into Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Our video covers absolutely everything at the special event! Check out the characters, food, entertainment, and more from the party and feel like you’re actually there (minus the ticket fee!). For a quicker look, check out this video.
@disneyfoodblog going to #disneyworld real quick, y’all want anything? #mickeysverymerrychristmasparty #MVMCP2022 #disneychristmas #disneyparks
While the parks have tons of spectacular decorations across the attractions and buildings, sometimes we overlook the smaller details. Check out this mini Christmas village all themed after Main Street. How cute! It even has a little railroad running around and tons of snow. Of course, nothing beats the real thing!
@disneyfoodblog i want to go to there #disneyworld #disney #magickingdom #mainstreetusa #christmasvillage #disneychristmas
This video gives you a bit of a sneak peek of all the hard work that goes into turning Magic Kingdom from its normal level of stunning to a holiday wonderland.
@disneyfoodblog is it feeling like #christmas for you this year? #disneyworld #disneychristmas #disneyparks #wdw #disney
The parks themselves are full of little Christmas details, like this door at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe!
Love seeing these little details in the parks leading up to Christmas! pic.twitter.com/NnNP2Ecy25

What a fun countdown! This classic store is where you can find all things Christmas year-round, so if you have a trip planned outside of the holiday season you can still get into some merry mischief there on your next trip.
Eager for more shopping? One of our favorite things to buy around this time of year is mugs (and yes, our cabinets are overflowing but we WON’T STOP).
Remember these hot cocoa and cookie mugs we saw earlier at other resorts?! Well, we spotted one over at Disney’s Boardwalk too! This one features our pal, Mickey Mouse! pic.twitter.com/hLyu8AsgLW

This adorable mug is part of the vintage Mickey Mouse line Disney released this year, and is the perfect vessel for some delicious hot chocolate.
This beautiful snow globe was recently released in the all-new Disney100 merchandise collection. The platinum design works well with the bright white snow, and you can use it to create a flurry of flakes around Cinderella Castle!
Calling all collectors! We spotted this new addition to the #Disney100 merch collection! pic.twitter.com/af2h2GUdMi

Something else guests love about the holidays at Disney is seeing our favorite characters all decked out in their festive kits.
@disneyfoodblog best thing i’ve ever seen #disneyworld #disneyparks #disney #disneycharacter #disneychristmas
Mischievous duo Chip and Dale were spotted in Hollywood Studios taking part in a hilarious gift exchange. Which character’s winter outfit in the parks is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
If you’re the kind of person who is all about the ~vibes~, these next few videos are for you.
Main Street, U.S.A. is one of the best places to be in Disney World at Christmas because of one thing: SNOAP. Disney has managed to create a flurry of “snow” in Florida, which we think is pretty cool. Magic Kingdom always looks extra special during the holidays with all its decorations!
@disneyfoodblog What’s your fave #DisneyHoliday ? #disneyworld #disneyparks #disney #wdw #waltdisneyworld #disneychristmas #christmasatdisney
Disney also manages to get tons of things up seemingly overnight; if you’re at the parks during this time and are used to seeing everything looking normal, don’t be surprised if you come back the next day and it appears as if Christmastown descended!
@disneyfoodblog IT’S HAPPENING! #disneyworld #disney #disneychristmas #disneyparks #wdw #waltdisneyworld #disneyholidays
Disney also likes to keep us on our toes — you never know when a bit of Christmas magic will appear! Here we saw Santa floating down the river in Animal Kingdom. Do you think he uses a boat to deliver presents?
This is still a fun surprise! pic.twitter.com/TgKcpYZ26v

Unfortunately, not everything about Disney World at this time of the year is positive. To really give you the full experience at home, we couldn’t skip the crowds!

Many people enjoy visiting Disney World this time of year, which means massive crowds. Navigating crowded walkways, dealing with long wait times, trying to snag dining reservations — it’s all part of the holiday experience!
Okay, let’s bring it back to something amazing (and iconic!). The resorts also go all-out with festive decorations. One of the most recognizable that people wait each year to see is the massive gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.
@disneyfoodblog if you could spend the #holidays at ANY #disneyresort , which would you pick? #disneyworld #disneychristmas #grandfloridian #disneyparks
How many people do you think it would take to eat it? Now we’re getting hungry. Let’s check out some holiday treats! Look at this waffle treat filled with ice cream, candy, cookies, and more!
@disneyfoodblog would you try this or skip? #disneysnacks #disneyfood #mickeyicecream #disneyworld
Character-themed items are also a big hit. This Stitch Dome Cake is almost too cute to eat!

Desserts are the name of the game during the holidays, with plenty of sweet treats to sample.
@disneyfoodblog an #epcot cookie? here for it #disneyworld #disneyfood #disneysnacks #christmascookies #disney
If you’ve already binged all of our 2022 holiday content, take a trip back in time and watch earlier vids of ours from prior holiday seasons, like this best of the fest from the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays 2021.
Take a look and see how this year stood up! Is EPCOT your favorite park to visit around this time of year? One of the best parts about EPCOT is seeing all of the different holiday traditions celebrated around the world during this season. The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays may be short but it’s still a popular event!

Another event that took place this season was Dapper Day. This year, a holiday-themed Dapper Day weekend took place in Animal Kingdom, and these beauties SLEIGHED. We can’t get over that Christmas tree purse!
