Disney Plus Ad-Supported Tier Has Arrived; Will You Be Upgrading?

We’ve been hearing about price increases for the last two years, not just limited to the Disney theme parks but also in the entertainment sector, and, well, basically everything on the planet is now more expensive. The long-debated change to the streaming service Disney+ is now in place with an ad-supported tier recently instated. Disney has framed the move as catering to those feeling “the pinch,” though it also conveniently offers the opportunity to pay a little bit more and skip the new advertising add-on altogether.

Before we all get worked up as though the idea of a price increase is a new concept in the globe, I should mention I don’t actually think the whole plan is a bad idea. Upping the price of the platform, in general, was inevitable, so if they are able to offer an optional way for fans to keep their subscription and pay a little less for it, why not? Today I was wondering more about how many people would be content to pay less in exchange for periodic advertising compared to those who would prefer to pay more to avoid them altogether. Let me know which way you plan to go, or will you opt for option C: Waiting to see how annoying the advertising is before jumping to a more expensive ship?
