Fans were excited to hear that Disney had thrown their hat in the ring for the new series of Doctor Who earlier in the year. Disney will be joining forces with the BBC to introduce the long-running show to younger generations by adding the title to the Disney+ catalog outside of the UK and Ireland.

A few days ago, we got a first look at the new Doctor and Ruby Sunday, portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa, a Rwandan-Scottish actor known for the Netflix series Sex Education, and Millie Gibson, a British actress well-known for the 173 episodes she worked on in the English soap, Coronation Street. New episodes of Doctor Who will air on the BBC and Disney+ in late 2023.
