Disney just announced how guests can enhance their holidays while using MagicBand+ at Walt Disney World. Let’s dive into the four ways we can use this technology and enjoy this jolly season.
1. Exchange holiday greetings with your favorite Disney characters during the Disney Fab 50 Quest
We all know that with the new MagicBands, guests can wave at different character statues and interact with them. When you wave at your favorite Disney character this holiday season, they may share a cheerful message as you complete your quest to greet all 50 statues.
2. Sparkle with the show during “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” and Nighttime Spectaculars
That’s right, folks, your MagicBand+ will dance along with various nighttime spectaculars throughout Walt Disney World, even the Christmas ones!
MagicBand+ shines in numerous colors and vibrates in sync with “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. And don’t forget, MagicBand+ also interacts with other nighttime spectaculars across Walt Disney World Resort, including the newly reopened “Fantasmic!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
3. Customize your MagicBand+ with a holiday light-up theme
This feature is actually cool because guests can customize their bands with different festive light-up themes. This is something that can be done through the My Disney Experience app.
If you head to the MagicBand+ section of the app, you can select your own light up theme for your band. During the holiday season, a festive light up theme will be available. If you like twinkly lights during the holidays as much as I do, you will love using this effect to bring a merry effect to your wrist! Simply double-tap the top of your band to activate the effect and show off your holiday spirit
4. Conveniently link your holiday Disney PhotoPass memories
One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is taking photos with my family, especially at Disney. Of course, we use PhotoPass to capture these memories, and now with the tap of MagicBand+, make sure everyone in the party is linked on MDE to ensure they can all have the pictures.
This year, there are a variety of limited-time Magic Shots available to make your photos even merrier – and with MagicBand+, collecting cherished Disney PhotoPass memories is as simple as a tap of your wrist when your photos are taken!
