Hollywood Studios might be my second favorite park, but I can admit that it’s a bit of a mess. It seems to lack the cohesion that it since had. Now it’s a park that showcases different movies and franchises like Star Wars and Toy Story. Every time I stroll down Sunset Blvd looking at the Tower of Terror, I start to brainstorm what could be added to Hollywood Studios.
My ideal addition would be a land themed to Disney animation and its history. Of course, it would include Walt Disney Presents, and I would bring back the Animation Academy. On top of that, I would add an attraction that would take guests through the different stages of Disney animation. I think it could be a family indoor coaster with projections. Imagine this, it would start with the first renderings of Mickey Mouse, and it would end with the more recent animated films like Frozen, Moana, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Soul.
As for dining, I thought there could be a dining experience similar to the Animator’s Palate from Disney Cruise Line. Different drawings on the walls would come to life while guests eat. The food here would be reminiscent of the dishes served at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The food would be plated creatively, and the recipes will surprise guests. This would finally bring good food to Hollywood Studios.
There would also be a quick-service option in this expansion, and I would want it to be like Woody’s Lunch Box but better. It would have the same feel but themed to an animator’s lunch box. There would be sketches everywhere, pencils holding up umbrellas, and because I love macaroni and cheese, that’s what they would serve. The menu would be filled with different variations of mac and cheese. From bbq mac, and buffalo mac to a vegan-styled baked mac and cheese. I like to think that the comfort of that dish inspires creativity; at least, for me, it does.
Well, folks, that’s what I would add to Disney’s Hollywood Studios if I could. If you could add a new land to Hollywood Studios, what would it be?
