Another layer of sheathing and the first layer of plaster has been added to the entrance façade of the upcoming Minions Villain-Con attraction in Universal Studios Florida.
Last time we shared a construction update, the entrance archway was almost completely covered in yellow weather-proof sheathing.
This new layer of paper-backed black paneling by Phillips Manufacturing Co. is meant to control moisture and reduce air infiltration.
Only a day after this layer of sheathing was added, the entrance was entirely covered in a layer of gray plaster.
While the most obvious construction is here at the entrance, crews have also been repainting the rest of the building.
The rumored Minions “Villain-Con” attraction is replacing Shrek 4-D, which closed permanently in April.
