Monorail Black was among the first of the Walt Disney World Monorails to be completely refurbished way back in 2019. It has now returned to service after a minor refurbishment.
We caught Monorail Black at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Among the updates are new headlights.
The red deltas on the black stripe around the Monorail were added in 2019.
New red pinstripes have been added to the bottom of the Monorail.
Though the stripe and deltas are the same colors, they do appear to be new stickers.
The red pinstripes are barely visible when the Monorail is parked in the station, but are clear when it’s moving along the track.
Inside, the interior’s design is the same.
The seats are the same.
It seemed to us that the “Monorail Black” panels on the back walls of the cars had been replaced.
In any case, it was very clean.
The carpeting on the doors and next to the seats may also be new. It felt fresh and firm.
Here’s a better look at the red pinstripes, and “Walt Disney World Monorail System” in teal lettering, as the Monorail pulls away.
