There seems to be a new update in the saga of the return of parking lot trams to Walt Disney World theme parks. Last year, Walt Disney World took to Twitter promising that the trams would return to all four theme parks by the end of 2022. Then, last month they seemed to walk that promise back as verbiage mentioning trams was removed from the official website. Now, today, we noticed new signage at EPCOT that points to the return of parking lot trams.
This sign can be found along the walkways near the entrance of EPCOT. The purpose of the sign is to direct guest toward the parking lots, but additionally we noticed that it also points toward the “West Tram”! Complete with an icon showing a a tram carrying guests. Could this mean that parking lot tram service is returning soon to EPCOT?
The courtesy service used to operate at all four theme parks. However, it was discontinued when the parks closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the parks finally reopened and physical distancing rules ended, the tram service remained unavailable.
At this time, there is no tram service at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Do these signs make you hopeful that tram service will return soon to EPCOT? Let us know in the comments.
