PHOTOS: Our Iconic Disneyland Candy Cane Came With a LONG Wait!

The holiday season means many things in Disney.

Sleeping Beauty Castle during the holidays

We’ve been trying lots of holiday treats in the parks, as well as exploring the Festival of Holidays in Disneyland. There is lots to explore this season, but one iconic treat returned that everyone couldn’t wait for — Disneyland candy canes! And if you wanted one today, you were going to need LOADS of patience.

The line to get the candy canes from Candy Kitchen was wrapped all in and around Jolly Holiday when we arrived and got in line!

At the start of the line

We waited, and waited …

Once we finally arrived at Candy Palace, the wait wasn’t over! We were then told to scan a QR code that would take us to a virtual queue.

Sure enough, we got a text message confirming our place in the virtual queue quickly and were able to wander around until we got our return time text.

The text message

We were surprised at how quickly we made it through the virtual queue, because we got the return text in no time (giving us 30 minutes to return to Candy Palace), and then…

Success!

…we got our candy cane! Each candy cane is $19.99, and they’re limited to one per guest per day.

They truly are iconic

Candy canes are available while supplies last, so if you want to be sure to get one, we suggest getting in line as soon as possible during your trip.

While you’re visiting, be sure to check out the exclusive holiday entertainment and snacks you can get this month before they’re gone! And as always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disneyland news.
