Guests riding the EPCOT Monorail will be able to see the 16-foot-tall Te Fiti figure in the construction site of Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.”
Crew members working at Te Fiti’s base during our trip on the Monorail give a good idea of just how tall she is.
The figure is already complete with leafy green hair and a flower crown.
From the back, she almost just looks like a thin leaf-covered hill.
Te Fiti can be seen in the center of the above concept art near a pool of water. The attraction will have guests take a self-guided walk through with interactive water elements. It’s part of the World Nature neighborhood at EPCOT. Guests will also be able to find hidden details such as Kakamora, Squirt from “Finding Nemo,” and more.
Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” is scheduled to open in late 2023.
