The Free Service You’re Not Using in Disney World

Disney World is constantly changing.

Cinderella Castle

From the hotel renovations happening around Disney World to the new 1ooth anniversary merchandise to the new restaurants coming next year, Disney likes to keep us on our toes. While these new things are nice and exciting, did you know there’s a FREE Disney service you probably haven’t been using in Disney World?! Even more shocking…it’s been around for a WHILE!

In Disney World, we don’t get to use the word “free” too often so we’re always excited when we get to use it! You can see a list of free goodies in Disney World here.

But the FREE service we have been alluding to in this post are the First Aid Stations in Disney World! And before you roll your eyes, we have to tell you why you should be making more use of them!

You might not think of this as a free amenity but it is and we’re going to break it down for you why you should be utilizing it more.

First Aid Locations in Disney World

First, before you can utilize them, you need to know where they are!

  • In Magic Kingdom, you can find First Aid between Casey’s Corner and the Crystal Palace.
  • In EPCOT, First Aid can be found on the side of the Odyssey Pavilion heading towards the Mexico Pavilion.
  • In Hollywood Studios, you’ll find it near the entrance by Guest Relations.
  • In Animal Kingdom, you’ll find First Aid tucked behind Creature Comforts just before you get into Africa.

  • If you’re staying in a Disney Resort Hotel, simply call the front desk and you can receive in-room care if needed.
  • At Typhoon Lagoon, it’s by Happy Landings and Leaning Palms.
  • Finally at Blizzard Beach, it’s by Beach Haus and Lottawatta Lodge.

Who Can Use First Aid in Disney World

Simply put, anyone can use them! Disney states that if anyone begins to feel ill or notices they need medical assistance they should visit one of the First Aid Centers throughout the theme parks.

While it might seem more complicated it’s really not. Even if you just have a simple headache or cut, you’re eligible to utilize these services for free. Nurses are available during regular park hours for any assistance you might need.

The Services You Can Receive at First Aid in Disney World

There are several kinds of services at these centers. Guests can receive Tylenol, other over-the-counter medication, bandages, and any other quick remedies a guest might need.

Guests can also store any medicine they might need refrigerated in these First Aid Centers. Nurses can also provide containers for the disposal of hypodermic needles and they will even provide a private room if a guest should need one.

Not only do they have private rooms but they also have Baby Care Centers which is amazing for anyone caring for a little one.

In the Baby Care Centers, you can find private rooms for nursing, changing rooms with tables, feeding areas with highchairs in them, and a store that has baby formula, baby food, diapers, and more. All of these services are free except for anyone who needs to purchase a full box of medication or anything from the Baby Care Center store.

When to Use First Aid in Disney World

Guests should utilize this free offering if they have a small or minor headache, injury, or issue that can be solved quickly and easily. Guests traveling with babies and toddlers should also consider using the Baby Care Centers when it’s time to eat, breastfeed, or change them if they prefer a more private or calm setting.

Even if you have something minor like a headache but know it could impact your park day, make a stop by First Aid. Guests should not use First Aid if they are experiencing a medical emergency. Any guest experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 or visit an Off-Site Urgent Care.

Hopefully, you won’t need too many of these on your next Disney World vacation!

Overall, Disney’s First Aid Centers are a hidden gem if you ever need some simple medical care in the park or even a place to take care of little ones. This is a free service that we seriously think you should be utilizing in the parks, but only when it’s truly needed. In our experience, the nurses and Cast Members there have been wonderful and helped us quickly when we needed it.
