When you visit Disney World, there are probably a few major things you’ll want to check off your to-do list!
EPCOT’s World Showcase
Obviously, you’ll want to do a few rides, and you’ll probably want to see at least one fireworks show. For many guests, character meet and greets are also a priority, and you’ll likely have a list of your must-meet friends. But sometimes, random characters pop up in the parks and surprise us…like what happened today!
We were entering EPCOT through the International Gateway earlier today (the back entrance in World Showcase), when we spotted a RARE character meet and greet — Flynn Rider from Tangled! You can see Flynn in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom or in Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, but it’s not often that we get to meet him and snap a photo.

If you’re hoping to meet some rarer characters (like Flynn) during your trip, don’t forget to scope out International Gateway! This isn’t the first time we’ve seen someone meeting here that we didn’t expect, and it’s just enough out of the way that many guests will walk right on by without noticing what’s going on.
Here comes the smolder!
Another great place to look for characters in EPCOT is the alley next to the American Adventure Pavilion. Occasionally, we’ll see a group of random characters show up there for what Disney calls “Character Palooza.” The meet and greets won’t last too long, and you never really know when they’ll happen, so keep your eyes peeled!
