CLOSING DATE Announced for French Market Restaurant to Make Way for Tiana’s Palace in Disneyland

Have you ever wanted to eat at Princess Tiana’s famous restaurant from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog?

Mickey Beignets

We thought this would remain a dream, but Disney is making it possible with the NEW Tiana’s Palace restaurant, coming to Disneyland this year! To make way for the new restaurant, two existing spots will be CLOSING soon.

This new restaurant will of course be located on Orleans Street in Disneyland Park. Unfortunately, this means it will need to take over the location of another restaurant. Disney just announced that the French Market Restaurant is closing to make way for the new dining location.

The Mint Julep Bar is located in the outdoor patio seating area of the neighboring French Market Restaurant.

The French Market Restaurant as well as the Mint Julep Bar will be closed beginning February 17th, 2023. Tiana’s Palace will open later in 2023, replacing the French Market Restaurant. The Mint Julep Bar will reopen when Tiana’s Palace opens, bringing with it its famous drinks and Mickey Beignets! The concept art looks similar to the restaurant shown in the film!

If you are a fan of the French Market Restaurant or are hoping to grab some mint juleps or beignets, your last day to enjoy them will be on February 16th, 2023. After that, the location will close as Disney begins construction on the new restaurant. For more Disney updates, stay tuned to our site!
