Disney Cruises have a lot to offer, like letting you experience the magic of Disney while sailing around to different locations!
You can find exclusive entertainment, special themed days at sea, holiday celebrations, attractions, and more aboard all of the Disney ships, but let’s explore EVERYTHING the Disney Fantasy has to offer!
Disney Fantasy
The Disney Fantasy, the sister ship to the Disney Dream, first set sail in 2012.
The Disney Fantasy can carry up to 4,000 passengers (in 1,250 staterooms) with 14 decks. It is 1,115 feet long and 216 feet high. It has an Art Nouveau-inspired lobby atrium with colorful carpets and a chandelier that mimics the plumage of a peacock, and the centerpiece of it all is the bronze statue of Mademoiselle Minnie Mouse, dressed in vintage clothing accompanied by her steamer luggage, reminiscent of the Golden Age of ocean travel.
Disney Fantasy Dining Options
All of the Disney Cruise ships have Rotational Dining, which means that guests on board rotate between three main table service restaurants for dinner during their cruise. The wait staff also rotates with the restaurants! Guests do not HAVE to eat at the restaurants included in Rotational Dining, but other dinner spots not included in the rotation will cost you extra money.
Let’s break down all of the restaurants included in Rotational Dining on the Disney Fantasy!
Royal Court
Royal Court is a restaurant all about Disney royalty. The furniture and decorations are inspired by Disney princess movies like Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.
Breakfast and lunch are available here, with food items like French toast, omelets, and crêpes for breakfast. Lunch is a three-course meal with both French and American food options. Dinner, which is a part of the rotational dining on the ship, is a four-course meal with appetizers like duck breast, spinach soufflé, and shrimp cocktail. Entrées include things like grilled beef tenderloin, lobster medallions, wild boar tenderloin, and more.

Enchanted Garden
Enchanted Garden is designed to look like an Arboretum in Versailles, complete with white trellises and fountains. Breakfast and lunch are available here as well, with breakfast options including Mickey waffles, omelets, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and more. Lunch has items like salads, burgers, fish, pizza, and more.
For dinner, this rotational dining spot specializes in market-fresh ingredients. Some of the appetizers include the cucumber garden roll, North Atlantic lobster roll, and more. There are also a variety of soups and salads, like the heirloom tomato soup, spinach and raspberry salad, and a romaine wedge salad.

Animator’s Palate
The Animator’s Palate restaurant is, obviously, all about Disney animation. The dining room shows hand-drawn designs from artists and guests can even watch an “innovative dinner show that celebrates the art of storytelling” while they eat.
The food here is a fusion of eats from the Pacific Islands, Asia, and California. For appetizers, you can choose from things like smoked salmon tartare, sliced Serrano ham, black truffle pasta purseittes, and a tomato tarte, or you could get things like creamy butternut squash soup, baked potato and cheddar cheese soup, arugula leaves, or a chicken and walnut salad.
And, for dessert, you can get things like their signature lemon icebox pie, or the crunchy walnut cake, chocolate fudge cheesecake, cookies ‘n cream sundae, or warm sticky date pudding. Also, if you’re 21 or over, you can pay an extra fee to pair your entrée with a wine from the extensive wine list that’s available.

Palo
Now, let’s talk about Palo. This is an adults-only table service restaurant with a semi-formal dress code. This is one of the spots that isn’t included in the price of your cruise, so you can eat here for an extra cost. Brunch or dinner is $45 per person.
Brunch includes things like eggs, soups, waffles and pancakes, pizzas, and entrees. Many of these feature an Italian flair, so you’ll find things on the dinner menu like Lasagna Bolognese and Calzones, along with steak, fish, pasta, and more. Entrées available for dinner include Italian dishes like butternut agnolotti, seared sea scallops on celery root puree, and piquant dover sole (which is fileted table side).

Remy
Remy is another adults-only table service restaurant that’s not included in the cost of your cruise. This fancy restaurant serves fine French dishes created by Chef Scott Hunnel (the chef who created Victoria & Albert’s at Disney World) and advising Chef Arnaud Lallement.
The prix fixe dinner is $125 per person, the Remy Champagne Brunch is $75 per person, the Remy Dessert Experience is $60 per person, the Petites Assiettes de Remy is $50 per person, and the Remy Wine Pairing Experience is $105 per person. Reservations are highly recommended if you want to eat here.

Other Dining Options
There are several other dining options on the ship as well, like quick service spots, as well as bars and lounges. For quick service spots, you can check out Sweet on You, which has all kinds of sweet treats, Senses Juice Bar, which is a juice bar near the spa, and Flo’s Café, which is actually three counter-service restaurants in one — Luigi’s Pizza, Tow Mater’s Grill, and Fillmore’s Favorites. They serve up things like pizza slices, hamburgers, chicken, salad, and more.
Other quick service spots include Preludes, the snack stand located outside the Walt Disney Theatre, Frozone Treats, which has a variety of smoothies, and Eye Scream Treats, which has a selection of soft-serve ice cream flavors.
As for lounges and bars, there are several for you to check out on the ship! The adults-only lounges include La Piazza, inspired by Italian cities and plazas, Bon Voyage, inspired by the art deco era, Meridian, inspired by early ships, Skyline, featuring large “windows” that show skylines from various cities around the world, Currents, which is up on one of the top decks, and Cove Café, which is a sophisticated tropical spot.
There is also O’Gills Pub, which becomes adults-only during the evenings. It’s inspired by Irish pubs and serves things like Irish ales, stouts, and pilsners, along with specialty drinks and cocktails.
Other lounges on the ship that are not adults-only include Vista Café, which is an art deco cafe that serves coffee and pastries in the mornings. In the evenings you can find some cocktails here. Another spot is D Lounge, which is a colorful space with family-friendly entertainment like karaoke and trivia. It has a full bar but also has some non-alcoholic drinks available.
Finally, there is one more dining experience aboard the Disney Fantasy. The Royal Court Royal Tea is a special dining experience where kids ages 3 to 12 can have a tea party with Disney princesses. The party includes entertainment, a selection of herbal teas, and a two-course meal — one course is sweet and the other is savory.
This experience is $220 each for children and $69 for the adults who go with them. It also requires advanced reservations.
Disney Fantasy Itineraries
The Disney Fantasy primarily offers seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings departing from Port Canaveral, Florida. An exciting announcement has been made for select Disney Fantasy itineraries: Pixar Day at Sea sailings debut in 2023!

Disney Fantasy Entertainment
Onboard a Disney ship, you’ll find Disney characters roaming around and meeting with guests. Generally, these character meet-and-greets or photo-ops are included, though you may need to register in advance for some of the more unique character experiences, so just be aware of that.
Disney Cruise Line also offers free movies in multiple spots – out on the funnel vision screen near the pools, as well as in the movie theater on the ship. The movie theater even offers runs of new movies that are currently out in theaters.
There are also Broadway-style shows in the theater onboard the ship. Typically these large productions are offered more than once night. Each ship has its own unique performances. On the Disney Fantasy, guests can see Disney’s Believe, Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.
And the ship offers more entertainment beyond just shows and characters! Check out karaoke nights, nighttime shows (typically featuring the main stage performers) for the adults in the adults clubs, kid events like game shows and trivia, free tours of the ship, free drawing lessons, and MORE.
Nowadays, you can see the navigator (or the daily list of events for the cruise) through the Disney Cruise Line app, and you may not receive or have access to a physical navigator onboard.
Each cruise also includes deck parties, select special events during Disney’s themed and holiday cruises (like special character meetings or book readings during the Very Merrytime Cruises or Marvel Day at Sea).
Access to the fitness room onboard is also included, and there are typically select exercise classes offered for free (though some exercise classes are an additional cost). Spa services are an additional cost on the cruise ship, but you can typically tour the spa on select days for free, just to get a sense of the space and see what options are available.
Fireworks are offered aboard most Disney Cruises. Fireworks viewing spots all around the ship are included.
The Disney Fantasy offers an interactive game for guests to play around the ship, the Midship Detective Agency, which has three games for individuals or the whole family to play around the ship.
And, of course, you can’t forget all of the pools and the epic AquaDuck waterslide! There are pools for kids, pools for families, and pools just for adults. A pool for everyone!
Make sure you stake out your lounge chair for prime sunbathing and pool access!
Disney Fantasy Kid’s Clubs
All of the cruise ships provide youth and teen clubs to keep the kids entertained during the cruise. There’s even a nursery for those wee ones (for an extra fee). Each youth club is tailored to a different age range and includes different entertainment elements. And each ship has its own unique take on each space.
“it’s a small world” Nursery (Ages 6 months to 3 years)
Yes, there’s even a spot for your baby! So, if you’re looking to book a massage or enjoy a nice dinner with your partner, or even take a nap (because we know you’d love an undisturbed 3-hour nap), you can take your tyke to the nursery. Space is limited, so you’ll need to book your child’s stay as soon as possible (between 75-120 days out, depending on your stateroom and Castaway Club status).
Disney’s Oceaneer Club (Ages 3 to 12):
Kids are able to visit Disney’s Oceaneer Club. It’s broken up into different themed rooms and based on your child’s interest. They can play in Andy’s Room, Star Wars: Command Post, Marvel Superhero Academy, and Pixie Hollow. These fun spaces also come equipped with engaging Counselors to lead crafts and activities and Disney pals stop in to visit the kids throughout the day.
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab (Ages 3 to 12):
Another unique spot for kids to hang out and be creative. Your junior Imagineers can create in Animator’s Studio, Craft Studio, Media Room, The Wheelhouse, and Sound Studio. So kids have a chance to be creative and get hands-on with some of the best tech and art activities available.
Edge (Ages 11-14)
Tweens have their own space aboard Disney ships. Located in different nooks and secret spots around the ships, these tween clubs provide kids with a chance to hang out with others their age, play games, have a dance or karaoke parties, and engage in counselor-led activities, or just hang out and play video games. Their own little mini vacation within a vacation.
Vibe (Ages 14-17)
While designated as a teens-only hangout, Vibe is chaperoned by some of the coolest counselors at sea, in a laid-back way that allows teens to feel as unrestricted and comfortable as they can possibly be.
With so much for kids to do and enjoy that is tailored just for them, you might find they spend the whole cruise in these kids spaces, leaving you to enjoy those adult-only areas we mentioned above.
