Parking lot trams at Walt Disney World have been slowly returning since the parks reopened. Before the closure, guests could enjoy a ride around the parking lot to the entrance or walk; it was up to them. Right now, at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, there’s no option other than to get your steps in.
At the end of 2021, trams returned to the Magic Kingdom, and in May 2022, they appeared at Animal Kingdom. Disney said we would see trams back at all parks by the end of the year. Here we are entering 2023 with no parking lot transportation.
Personally, I love taking a ride on the trams because I suffer from chronic pain, so having the option not to walk is helpful on most days. EPCOT is my favorite park, but parking and walking to the front recently has been a hassle. I either have to slow down and hold my group back, or if I’m alone, I take breaks. I know I am not alone in needing this mode of transportation.
I hope to see the remaining parks get the trams back before the summer heat sets back in, which could start as early as March. Please, Disney, bring them back. When do you think they will return to the parking lots? Do you believe the trams will be back by the spring, or will they come back later in the year?
