We’ve known for several months that Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” would open in “late 2023” at EPCOT, but a new email to Disney Rewards members gives a slightly more specific timeline.
The “Autumn” section of the email states the following:
This fall, you won’t want to miss the debut of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT®! This new exploration trail will connect guests to the story of our planet’s water. When: Fall 2023.
Fall is generally considered to be from late September to late December. CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza could open around the same time.
We previously learned at D23 Expo 2022 that both the Journey of Water and CommuniCore Hall would open in late 2023. Designed for all ages, Journey of Water will allow guests to explore and engage with water as it travels from our skies to our oceans and back again, and notably features a 16 foot-tall statue of Te Fiti, goddess and creator of the islands of Polynesia in the lore of “Moana.” The entire experience is set to be interactive, allowing guests to get a hands-on experience with the many water elements around the area, located near the center of World Discovery.
