Disneyland Paris Debuts New Drone Show for 30th Anniversary Finale

Disneyland Paris has been celebrating its 30th anniversary for the last few months, and there are all sorts of exciting events in honor of the milestone. The festivities are concluding on September 30, 2023, and it sounds like the resort has been saving the best for last. A brand-new Marvel drone show has been unveiled, which will be performed daily and feature your favorite Super Heroes. If you have never seen a show that uses drones to create special effects, you are in for a treat.

“Avengers: Power the Night”

From January 28, 2023 through May 8, 2023, guests will be treated to an incredible drone show that will light up the night skies at Walt Disney Studios Park. This exclusive new show dedicated to fan-favorite Super Heroes combines music, lights, pyrotechnic effects and video projections onto the Tower of Terror.

And that’s not all – up to 500 drones (yes, 500!) will form a series of lighting sequences themed to the powers of heroic Super Heroes such as Captain America, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch and, for the first time at Disneyland Paris, Shang-Chi. Innovation is in our DNA, and we’re excited to embrace a breadth of technological elements to bring these stories to life in thrilling new ways.

But no show is complete without great music – and “Avengers: Power the Night” will not disappoint on the tunes! The show will feature a soundtrack composed of some of the most iconic scores that were reorchestrated with a symphony orchestra including more than 70 musicians at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London.

The projection mapping technology used creates illusions of rotating towers and swinging motions on the walls of the castle, and thanks to innovative LED technology that will deck the rooftops of the castle, Sleeping Beauty Castle will light up in sync with the show’s nostalgic soundtrack. Quel show fantastique!
