Today kicks off the new Kids Club offering happening every Saturday at Disney Springs. The entertainment will be changing up each weekend, but it’s a great way to make the kids feel included on your weekend trip to Springs. The party takes place in the entertainment space next to The Boathouse, which overlooks the water.
This series’s first round of entertainment is DJ Kate and the Wassalou band. The party started at 10:30 a.m., and honestly, it might be better than a cup of coffee. The DJ was excellent and had the kids and parents on their feet. They got everyone singing and clapping. The playlist was filled with classic hits, fun Disney songs, and hits from the 2010s. It was a great mix of music for everyone in the area, whether they were participating or just walking by.
The Wassalou group brought all the fun beats from Animal Kingdom. They even brought musical instruments like maracas and drums for kids in the audience to play with. I thought that was a brilliant idea because it got kids involved, and they got to be part of the act. The group sang and danced to favorites from The Lion King, which made me feel like was watching Festival of the Lion King but with a cast filled with kids. I loved this segment because it felt like I was in Animal Kingdom jamming out.
If you have kids and plan to visit Disney Springs on a Saturday, I highly suggest checking out this event. I had a blast and was just watching; okay, maybe I danced in my seat and clapped my hands.
