A fun and exciting announcement was made during a performance at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. L. Steven Taylor, Mufasa in The Lion King on Broadway, mentioned that Coco is reportedly in development at Disney on Broadway to become a live stage show.

After mentioning that, they sang “Remember Me” from the hit film. Coco is filled with unique colors, songs, and locations. Seeing all of that translated onto a stage would be amazing. I just started brainstorming what the costumes and the choreography for all the songs could look like. Another recent release that they should consider making into a stage show is Encanto. It’s another movie filled with a vibrant color palette, fun catchy songs, and the set design would be interesting. Disney does a fantastic job creating shows for Disney on Broadway, so I love that they have Coco in the works.
If you could pick three Disney films that you’d love to see adapted into a stage show, what would they be?
