Days before it finally reopens, Ariel’s Grotto in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom finally has a Lightning Lane sign.
Across the sidewalk from the standby wait time sign is a pink seashell with a clock in it.
“Lightning Lane” is now above the clock, which lets guests know if it’s time to get in line or not.
Ariel’s Grotto is a meet-and-greet experience where guests meet Ariel in her mermaid form. This has been something guests have been unable to do anywhere at Walt Disney World since March 2020.
Enchanted Tales with Belle and Ariel’s Grotto at the Magic Kingdom have been closed (at least in their original capacities) since March 2020 when the entire Walt Disney World Resort was shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, nearly three years later, both offerings are finally returning.
Ariel’s Grotto will reopen to guests on January 22. Enchanted Tales with Belle will return on February 19, 2023. Both attractions will be offered as part of Genie+, providing Lightning Lane access.
