Ahead of its 25th anniversary in April, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting some love and care, including pressure washing at Maharajah Jungle Trek.

The roof over the entrance sign looks dirty, though that may also just be the worn look of the area.

We could see workers actively pressue washing the back of the aviary.

During this refurbishment, the section is also closed to guests. The rest of Maharajah Jungle Trek remains open.

The doorway to the aviary is currently roped off.

The sign for the aviary is also covered over, so as to reduce confusion for guests.

Though it’s hard to see through the trees, equipment for the refurbishment is barely visible from one part of trail.

One pathway near the end of the trek is blocked off with planters.

Our reporter could notice the distinct smells of paint and solvent, suggesting there may be more than just washing taking place.

Looking over the planters, we can see green cherry pickers standing by, suggesting that work will be taking place on the upper floor of the building.

Maharajah Jungle Trek isn’t the only attraction getting attention. Currently, work is also taking place at the Tree of Life, which is undergoing repainting. Disney’s Animal Kingdom celebrates its 25th anniversary this April.
