Disneyland All-American College Band Program Restarting After Hiatus Announcement

After hearing from upset fans of the Disneyland All-American College Band, Disney has announced they will restart the program after announcing it would be going on an indefinite hiatus.

Disneyland All-American College Band

The hiatus announcement was made on January 27. On January 29, Disneyland announced that a project team had been established to help relaunch the All-American College Band program.

Disneyland officials stated, “Innovation and change are part of the fabric of the Disneyland Resort. With the relaunch of the All-American College Band program, we remain committed to offering educational experiences that embrace the ever-evolving educational landscape of colleges and universities across the country while continuing to reflect the magical and memorable experiences that are uniquely Disney.”

The Disneyland All-American College Band was suspended due to COVID-19 in 2020, the year of its 50th anniversary, but returned in 2022. Each year, 21 members of the band are chosen from over 300 applicants from United States colleges. The band performs on Main Street, U.S.A., in the summers.

Earl of Sandwich to Reopen in Early February at Downtown Disney District

After leaving its permanent home about a year ago, Earl of Sandwich has been missing from the Downtown Disney District, a tentpole of the shopping and dining outlet for many years. Now we know when its temporary location will reopen in the shopping district!

EarlofSandwich

Earl of Sandwich will officially reopen on February 1 at the former La Brea Bakery location, which suddenly closed earlier this month. Earl of Sandwich will open with both a grab-and-go option and a new Earl of Sandwich Tavern table service location in the former La Brea Bakery building.

The restaurant will open from 11:00a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, before reverting to an 8:00a.m. open on Friday and beyond.

This location is of course temporary, as there are still plans to build the upcoming Porto’s Bakery on this very same site. No word on how long the temporary Earl of Sandwich will last.

Are you excited to chow down on these beloved sandwiches again? Let us know in the comments below!
