Starting Feb. 1, PhotoPass Cast Members Will Have Brand New Costumes

Wednesday, February 1st will start a new era of Disney PhotoPass cast members because they have brand-new costumes. Gone are the days of blue pants and white shirts. Now they will wear a green shirt that looks more on the athletic side, which will be great for those hot summer months.

Now it’s not the most beautiful outfit I’ve ever seen a cast member wear, but I think the material will be helpful when standing in the sun and more comfortable for long shifts. When I think PhotoPass, I don’t think green I think khaki, white and blue. These green shirts just make me think of bowling or sports teams.

It will take time for us to adjust to seeing these new outfits since we have been so used to seeing the other ensemble. This change will make it easier for guests to spot them throughout the parks, ensuring more photos are being taken. This will likely translate into more photos being taken and more prints being bought.

What do you think about these uniforms for the PhotoPass photographers? Do you love it? Do you hate it? Let us know!

The fabric is also designed to control moisture and protect against the sun’s rays.

“My favorite part about designing costumes for our cast is ensuring they are comfortable and safe,” Josh said. “We help them to be at their best so they can make magic for our guests.”
