Our Beloved Peter Pan Tale Celebrates 70 Years of Magic!
Later this week, on February 5th, a true Disney classic will celebrate 70 years of a prime position in our hearts. It’s a story that brought us a front-row seat into absolute imagination as we explored Neverland and outsmarted a world with pirates and adventure. Peter Pan is a legendary tale that changed how generations of audiences to come would think about fantasy, adventure, and the London night sky.
The film debuted on February 5th of 1953, based on a 1904 play called Peter Pan. The film version includes colorful characters like Captain Hook as Pan’s arch nemesis, Tinkerbell as the mischievous and sassy sidekick, friends Wendy, John, and Peter, as well as the co-adventurers, The Lost Boys. The film was such a bit that it inspired many future stories and attractions throughout the Disney Media Universe and Disney Parks.
If you are looking for a family movie to enjoy this week, take Peter Pan for a spin and remember what a truly exceptional experience this movie is.

VIDEO: ‘Avengers: Power the Night’ Drone Show Debuts at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris
Avengers, assemble! With Avengers Campus already six months old at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris and as part of the resort’s 30th Anniversary Grand Finale, a new drone and projection show called “Avengers: Power the Night” has debuted in the skies above and around the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!
This new show features drones depicting Spider-Man, Captain America’s Shield, Mjolnir, Nick Fury, and many other symbols of the franchise as firework flares shoot from the Tower of Terror and projections cover its surface. Iconic quotes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are played over snippets of scores from the various MCU films.
This is the first nighttime drone show dedicated to Marvel Super Heroes in a Disney Park. Featuring music, lights, pyrotechnic effects, and video projections, “Avengers: Power the Night” will use 500 drones to form icons representing the powers of iconic Super Heroes, including Captain America, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, and for the first time at Disneyland Paris, Shang-Chi.
An Avengers drone show was performed during the grand opening weekend for Avengers Campus in Paris. The new show will perform similar effects with the drones but will also involve projections onto the Tower of Terror.
Disneyland Paris collaborated with Bordeaux-based company Dronisos, which was recently named the official technology provider of the resort for the second year in a row. The companies previously collaborated on the 30th Anniversary’s nighttime drone show “Disney D-Light,” which was named “Best Live Entertainment 2022” during the Park World Excellence Awards Ceremony in September 2022.
“Avengers: Power the Night” runs nightly through May 8 at Walt Disney Studios Park. Are you excited to see this first-of-its-kind drone show? Let us know in the comments below!

New Vault Collection Fireworks and 25th Anniversary Tee Arrive at Magic Kingdom
The 50th anniversary celebration is wrapping up but guests can continue to celebrate with new T-shirts available as part of the Vault Collection. This new fireworks tee and 25th anniversary tee can be found in Main Street Cinema at Magic Kingdom.
Fireworks Tee – $39.99
First up, this shirt’s print is a giant photo of Main Street, U.S.A. during a fireworks show.
Red, green, and yellow fireworks go off in the sky above Cinderella Castle.
The buildings of Main Street, U.S.A. are also lit up in a yellow glow.
Red and yellow banners with Mickey’s face at the top are on the Main Street lampposts, although we couldn’t pinpoint the exact year these would have adorned the Magic Kingdom.
The photo may be from a celebration of Mickey’s birthday, perhaps in the 1980s. The shirt is a similar style to the Mickey shirt released a few days ago, which features a photo of the mouse from the ’70s or ’80s.
The fireworks and lights continue onto the short sleeves of the shirt.
The same photo is printed on the back.
25th Anniversary Tee – $44.99
We know exactly what year this tee is celebrating: 1996, when Magic Kingdom turned 25. Walt Disney World has released several items featuring the famous cake version of Cinderella Castle that guests visiting during the 25th anniversary got to see in person.
This gray shirt features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy gathered in front of the pink cake castle on the chest. “Walt Disney World” is embroidered below them.
The back features the same image but larger and surrounded by a circle reading “It’s time to remember the magic!” Colorful ribbons curl around the edges of the circle.
“Walt Disney World” and “October 1, 1996” are embroidered at the bottom.
Which Vault Collection shirt do you prefer? Let us know in the comments and check out more retro merchandise from the collection:
