PRICE REVEALED: How Much It Costs to SKIP the Line at Disney’s Newest Ride

Okay, so today is a BIG day in Disneyland — a LOT of things are happening! First, today is the start of the resort’s celebration of the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary. New decorations are up, Sleeping Beauty Castle got a makeover, and new snacks are here!

But it’s also opening day for a brand new ride — Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. We already showed you a sneak peek, but now we’re going to tell you how much you’ll have to pay to ride it through Genie+.

First up, you CAN ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway for free, if you manage to get into the virtual queue. Guests can join the virtual queue through the Disneyland app at 7AM and 1PM daily.

However, you can also purchase the Individual Lightning Lane option through Genie+ for the ride. Today, that cost is $20 per person. Note that this price will likely fluctuate day by day, depending on demand and theme park attendance.

Note that there is NO standby line available for this ride, as is usually how Disney handles new attractions. For now, the ONLY way to ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland is by purchasing the Individual Lightning Lane option or obtaining a boarding pass for the virtual queue (the virtual queue is free to join!).
