Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Rib – $8.50

Served with Parsnip Purée, Broccolini, Baby Tomatoes, and Aged Balsamic

Red Wine Braised Short Rib with Parsnip Purée, Broccolini, Baby Tomatoes and Aged Balsamic $7.75

The meat was extremely tender, we didn’t even need a knife. The parsnip puree added another great layer to this well-plated and hefty dish. Ours came with two pieces of the short rib, simple enough to split with a friend and/or loved one. Recommended.

Wild Boar Cassoulet – $9.25

Featuring Duck Confit, Ham Hock, and Wild Boar Sausage

This was a little “gamey” but enjoyable. The sausage has a nice smoky flavor, well complemented by the beans and tomatoes underneath. It’s worth a try if you’ve never had boar.

*NEW* Black Forest Cake – $4.75

Chocolate Mousse with Morello Cherries and Chantilly Cream

This cake features a chocolate feather similar to what we’ve seen in Peter Pan and Dumbo-themed desserts elsewhere at Walt Disney World.

It’s also not obvious from the presentation, but there are cherries inside the cake as well. The chocolate isn’t too sweet, and better than the cake they serve at Biergarten. It isn’t overly sweet. Everything is in balance. The rich dark chocolate in the mousse is offset with a little milk chocolate.

The cherries aren’t overpowering, and the cream is pretty flavorless.

Still, we recommend this. It’s a great dessert.

3 Daughters Brewing Rosé Hard Cider, St. Petersburg, FL (7.0% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.

From 3 Daughters Brewing on Untappd: “Our Rosé Cider is light pink in color with hints of berry and citrus. It is refreshing yet crisp for the perfect Florida drink. Naturally Gluten Free.”

81Bay Brewing Rosé Blonde Ale, Tampa, FL (5.4% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.

81Bay Brewing Co. describes their Rosé Blonde Ale as being made with “strawberry and hibiscus.”

Frozen Rosé – $7.00

Frozen rosés are becoming increasingly popular at these festivals, so here’s the obligatory offering this time around.

Marietta Old Vine Rosé, California ($16/bottle) – $5.50

From Marietta Cellars: “Our at-the-ready California rosé is asaturation of summer watermelon savored right down to the rind. Electric pink in the glass, this Grenache-Syrah blend is full of warm wild strawberries, tart pink grapefruit, and just a dash of pink peppercorn. Satisfyingly fresh and vibrant, with a dry, mouthwatering finish, this is just the right wine for when food is served, when friends gather, or for a perfect quiet view.”
