There’s no shrinking violets at Refreshment Corner in Disneyland, as the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration has brought the Violet Pretzel and Sparkling Grape!

Violet Pretzel – $7.59

Cream Cheese-filled Pretzel drizzled with Salted Vanilla Cream and Lavender Sugar

This is a nice, sweet treat. It elevates the traditional cream cheese pretzel and makes it that much more sugary with the addition of the icing, bringing it on par with something like a churro in terms of sweetness.

The roasted, doughy bread of the pretzel helps bring body to this treat, while the vanilla icing adds sugary kick and a creamy texture to round it out.

Overall, we enjoyed this much more than we thought we would. We finished the whole thing rather quickly!

Sparkling Grape – $5.79

Sprite with Grape Syrup, topped with a Candy Strip

This is yet another Sprite-based specialty drink that left us wanting. It doesn’t have the grape medicine flavor we were expecting, going for more of a candy grape flavor like a Tootsie Pop, which is certainly welcome.

But that being said, it’s not interesting or enjoyable enough to want to finish the cup’s worth.

It’s cute for Instagram, and very appropriate for the celebration, but it’s all flash and no substance.
