A new Bear Tracks Churro is the latest offering in a new collection of treats released this week to honor the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, and we knew we needed to give this sweet treat a try.
The latest churro to hit the Castle Hub Refreshment Cart features marshmallow cream and chocolate sauce drizzles and is topped with candy bar pieces. While the toppings are hard to pass up, read on to see why we hope this treat fairs a little better in future tastings.
Bear Tracks Churro – $7.25
Bear Tracks Churro served with Marshmallow Cream, Chocolate Sauce, and Candy Bar Pieces
Marshmallow cream and chocolate sauce are drizzled back and forth across the top of this cinnamon sugar-dusted churro, making the perfect bed for some candy bar pieces. The toppings are truly delicious, adding a rich sweetness to the churro.
Likewise, the candy bar pieces were a crunchy and sweet complement to the dessert. The broken-up pieces add a new texture to the dessert and bring a touch of chocolate, toffee, and caramel.
We couldn’t get enough of the delicious toppings. But despite what makes the Bear Tracks Churro a special treat, a stale churro itself made this experience a little disappointing. We chalk this up to poor timing. If the churro would have been fresh, we know this dessert would be a home run for sure.
As the 50th Anniversary winds down, we’re happy that this new celebration treat has made its way to the Cinderella Castle Hub and we’ll definitely be trying again. With a fresh churro, there’s no doubt that the Bear Tracks Churro can be a guest favorite. Stop by and give it a try during your next visit to Magic Kingdom and let us know what you think.
