Today, Brightline released a video and artist renderings of the future train station that is set to open inside Orlando International Airport (MCO) later this year. The new station spans three stories, featuring groundbreaking design and luxury amenities that meet the demand of today’s modern traveler.
The airport’s train station is a distinctive building with curved, overlapping roof lines. It was completed five years ago and has been used only by the airport shuttle trains that link the original north terminal complex with the newly opened south terminal complex. The station is just east of and adjoins Terminal C.
Once inside the station, passengers can purchase tickets from guest services or one of several self-service kiosks and check luggage before proceeding through touchless turnstiles into the security screening area. Brightline is currently the only rail system in America that screens all passengers and bags prior to boarding.
There will be an upscale retail experience with convenient in-station shopping along with Brightline’s Mary Mary Bar, serving hand-crafted cocktails and lite bites. The signature sit-down bar is positioned at the far end of the station with a stunning panoramic view overlooking the train platform, where guests can leisurely watch as trains arrive and depart the platform.
