Eating at Disney World can be delicious and…overwhelming! 

There are table service restaurants, quick service restaurants, lounges, snack kiosks, food trucks, and more within the parks, the resorts, and Disney Springs. Where do you go? What’s worth your cash? Well, we’ve eaten at basically every single Disney World restaurant and have shared tons of reviews with you over the years to make that dining journey easier. But today we’re taking a deep dive into ALL of the restaurants at one popular hotel in particular — Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!

Within this post, we’ll be sharing a quick overview of each and EVERY restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the top eats at each one, and other facts you need to know. For more details on each restaurant, click the links below to be taken to the pages we have created for every single one. That’ll let you see and read all of our reviews for that particular place.

Keep in mind that menus can and do often change, so be sure to check and see what’s available during your trip. Alright, with that housekeeping out of the way, let’s begin!

1900 Park Fare

Note that 1900 Park Fare is temporarily closed — it has not reopened since the 2020 COVID-19-related closures. Be on the lookout for more updates from us here at DFB.

1900 Park Fare (when open) is a character dining location at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, offering different character appearances at breakfast vs. dinner.

In the morning, you’ll find Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and The Mad Hatter! Dinner is a more royal experience with appearances by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and even Anastasia and Drizella (sometimes!)!

Both breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style. At breakfast time you’ll typically find American favorites like scrambled eggs, carved ham, mini pancakes, Mickey waffles, Cinnamon sticky buns, and more.

Dinner offers more American fare with salads, chicken, catfish, pasta, chicken wings, mac and cheese, and more.

The highlight of the meals here, though is really the signature Floridian Strawberry Soup! If you love cream and strawberries, this is something you shouldn’t miss. It really is one of the best soups in all of Disney World. It’s rich and full of flavor. It is served cold (so just be aware of that!) and is very refreshing, but not overly sweet. If you are looking for a more high-end experience or want incredibly unique food, then this might not be the right fit. But, 1900 Park Fare tends to be a good pick for those looking to meet some characters and those who like simple buffet food.

Beaches Pool Bar and Grill

Beaches Pool Bar and Grill is…well…a pool bar and grill (as you might have expected!). Here, you’ll find your typical pool bar drinks — like the Magical Beacon Cocktail, Sunshine Margarita, Pina Colava, and Pineapple Dream.

But you’ll also find a lunch menu that has a few items that are better than your average poolside grill. For those looking to eat a bit healthy, there is an Island Chicken Caesar Salad. For the picky eaters, there are the expected Chicken Nuggets. But you can also pick up an Artisinal Burger and (the truly fancy pick) Lobster(!!) Sliders! Talk about an upscale pool bar!

Typically, this spot is open from around 11AM to 8PM, with entrees served until around 6PM, but hours can vary.

Citricos

If you want upscale dining at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, there’s plenty of that and Citricos is one of the main places to go! The restaurant features American dishes with Mediterranean influences.

The restaurant underwent some refurbishment and reopened in 2021 with a refreshed look inspired by Mary Poppins Returns, and a new menu created by Chef Andres Mendoza. And in 2022, Citricos was recognized by the Michelin Guide — in other words, this place is no joke!

The menu is focused on fresh Florida cuisine with influences from the cuisines of Provençe, Tuscany and the Spanish Riviera. Only dinner is served here, and the menu includes salads, fish, pasta, short ribs, steak, macaroni and cheese, desserts, cocktails, beer & cider, and more.

With the fancy food and upscale environment comes, as you might have expected, a high price tag with menu items ranging from around $9 to $59.

Some of our favorites from the updated/current menu include the Strawberry Salad, Smoked Duck Breast, Guava Barbecued Short Ribs, and Domestic Golden Tilefish. The Truffle Macaroni and Cheese is unlike any mac & cheese we’ve ever had — which can be a good or bad thing, depending on your tastes!

Overall, we’d say Citricos may not be a great fit for lots of kiddos, picky eaters, or those on a strict budget. Citricos is a great fit, however, for avid foodies who enjoy unique and surprising flavors, adults looking for a classy meal, and those who want a signature dining experience (complete with beautiful decor and luxurious meals).

Note that Citricos also has a lounge that you can visit if you’d like to enjoy some drinks or dine from the Citricos dinner menu without a full dinner reservation.

If you want to take your Citricos experience to the next level, consider reserving the Sommelier Room experience. This has essentially replaced the Chef’s Domain experience that was once here and it serves as a chef’s table experience at the restaurant for around 4-8 guests. With the Sommelier Room, you get to try boutique wines that have been specifically chosen by Sommelier Israel Perez to pair with the creations of Chef Andres Mendoza.

The cost for that is typically around $250 per person. Email [email protected] for more information or call 407-824-2450 or 407-824-3000 to speak to a Cast Member. Seats for this can fill up FAST, so you’ll want to book your group as quickly as you can!

Courtyard Pool Bar

Courtyard Pool Bar offers just enough snacks and drinks to keep you full until your extravagant dinner elsewhere in the Grand. In terms of drinks, you’ll find many of the usual pool bar options — Sunshine Margarita, Banana Cabana, a Poolside Iced Tea, and some frozen options too like Frosé or a frozen Strawberry Margarita. There’s also beer, wine, and sangria.

In terms of eats, you’ll find some basic things like a hot dog and turkey sandwich, but there are also some slightly more unique options (at least, unique in terms of a pool bar!) like the Caprese sandwich and Greek salad with chicken.

This spot is typically open from 11AM to 7PM.

Enchanted Rose

Want to grab some eats and drinks in a more lounge-type setting? Enchanted Rose is the way to go! This spot is inspired by Beauty and the Beast and offers 4 different themed rooms for guests to experience.

In terms of decor, look for subtle nods to the films, like the glowing bar with a gold chandelier that is reminiscent of Belle’s gown. You may also find the iconic Enchanted Rose, a Cogsworth-inspired clock, and a Mrs. Potts-inspired teapot.

Each room is FULL of details you’ll have to hunt for!

In terms of drinks, the lounge/bar offers crafted drinks, like featured martinis and Grand Cocktails. There are also non-alcoholic beverages. Their Old Fashioned is great, the Island Rose is yummy (though a bit out of place for how tropical it is), and the Lavender Fog is a good one to pair with dessert.

You’ll find quite a few eats here too. There are snacks served from 3:30PM-10PM, like mixed nuts and marinated olives. But you can get the slightly heftier food options from 5PM-10PM. The Smoked Trout and Crab Dip is a MUST for seafood lovers and the Artisinal Cheese Selection can be great for cheese lovers.

The Truffle Fries are also one of our FAVORITE things on the menu! And if you really want to be fancy, you could opt for the $115 caviar — just get ready to face that bill!

Overall, there really aren’t that many options for little ones, so that’s something to consider. But for those looking to grab a drink and a few bites to eat (either as a snack or as a lighter meal), this is a fun option with some seriously fantastic theming!

Garden View Tea Room

Note: The Garden View Tea Room is currently unavailable. Check back to see what the situation is like during your trip.

When available, the Garden View Tea Room gives guests the chance to enjoy a British-Style afternoon tea experience, all while enjoying the outdoor gardens through the windows.

The space is small but feels elegant. The Afternoon Tea menu features different packages to pick from. What these come with can vary — but you’ll usually find a pot of tea of your choice, tea sandwiches, scones, and dessert. There are cheaper packages, as well as more expensive ones that come with more items for guests to share and dishes like caviar.

We’ve loved the sandwiches here generally, especially the Sweet Curry Chicken Salad sandwich and Fire-Roasted Tomato and Oregano Goat Cheese sandwich. Plus, the scone plate was lovely and some of the desserts here were a hit too (we even got a yummy swan pastry with milk chocolate caramel filling!).

Overall, Afternoon Tea is a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in Disney World. It can be a unique way to celebrate a birthday or special event, or just do something “different.” It could easily be a light lunch for most.

At the Tea Room, you can also find Perfectly Princess Tea Party (temporarily unavailable at this time). That is a unique experience for little ones that includes “tea” time for kiddos, a visit from Sleeping Beauty, and more.

Gasparilla Island Grill

Gasparilla Island Grill is your place for quick eats at the Grand Floridian. This is a counter-service restaurant that has some more standard food court food as well as a few particularly tasty options. You’ll find breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and even late-night snacks available here.

At breakfast, you’ll find the standards — a breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, breakfast wraps, a croissant sandwich, and Mickey waffles, as well as an acai bowl and more.

During lunch, there are flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. Basically, it has a variety of options, so hopefully, every single member of the family can find something that’ll satisfy them.

The house-made macaroni and cheese here is TOP NOTCH — it is creamy and delicious and something you do NOT want to miss.

During dinner, you’ll find some dinner specialties, like a mojo chicken bowl, in addition to the flatbreads, mac & cheese, burgers, sandwiches, and more.

The real draw here, though, is the seasonal snacks! We have come back time and time again (again, and again, and AGAIN) to get some unique treats themed to all kinds of holidays or limited-time celebrations.

Grand Floridian Cafe

Grand Floridian Cafe is a largely underrated Disney World restaurant. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an airy, casual setting. The dishes are moderately priced and generally VERY tasty. Because it’s not very well known, you may find it relatively easy to get an Advance Dining Reservation here and you can check for walk-up availability.

In terms of breakfast and lunch, you’ll typically find a mixed brunch menu being offered. On the menu are typically a seasonal soup, salads, steak & eggs, pancakes, french toast, and more.

Highlights from the brunch menu include the Lobster ‘Thermidor’ Burger — which has a burger patty and lobster-parmesan Thermidor sauce on a brioche bun! This is a HUGELY popular dish for a good reason — we’ll happily take a bowl of lobster-parmesan Thermidor sauce as a present anytime.

The Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle is another BIG DFB-favorite with a hand-breaded chicken breast on a malted waffle with sriracha-honey drizzle! It’s huge, it’s delicious, it’s got just the right amount of heat to it, and it’s something that will NOT leave you disappointed.

At dinner you’ll find some similar offerings — like the seasonal soup and Lobster ‘Thermidor’ Burger, but you’ll also find some more unique dinner-specific offerings like the shrimp and grits, meatloaf, and New York Strip Steak.

The Meatloaf is a particularly comforting dish and is surprisingly flavorful, the New York Strip is a solid option, and the Miso-Glazed Salmon is typically very well seasoned and cooked well.

A few Grand Floridian Cafe PRO tips! You may find a few SECRET menu items here. In the fast, we’ve found a secret menu tomato bisque that was warm and full of creamy tomato-y goodness!

But for the ultimate in secret menu meals, ask if the iconic Strawberry Soup is available!

As we discussed above, this is a signature dish you can usually find at 1900 Park Fare, but we’ve had it at the Grand Floridian Cafe too! It’s a cold, refreshing, soup with the slightest level of sweetness and fresh whipped cream. Don’t miss out on this iconic dish (if it’s available, that is!).

Narcoossee’s

Note: Narcoossee’s is currently closed and undergoing refurbishment. It is expected to reopen in 2023 as an “enhanced experience.”

When open, Narcoossee’s offers another spot for elegant and upscale signature dining in the Grand Floridian. The theme here has typically been coastal.

The restaurant is located in a circular building that sticks out a bit into the Seven Seas Lagoon, making it a great place to watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Magic Kingdom fireworks.

In terms of food, seafood has been the primary focus (typically) — with shrimp & grits, lobster bisque, salmon, mahi mahi, and more on the menu. But the menu has usually included other items as well, like steak, pasta, and pork.

During our last meal here, we enjoyed the Maine Lobster Bisque, we were impressed by the Pan-Seared Georges Bank Day Boat Scallops, and the steak (from a surf & turf option) was surprisingly good.

As a whole, things were fine during our last meal — there was nothing to complain about but it didn’t leave us raving about our meal either. We’ll be interested to see what changes are made to the menu and theming when it reopens after this refurbishment.

Victoria and Albert’s

And finally, we get to the creme de la creme — Victoria and Albert’s. With a AAA five-diamond rating, Victoria & Albert’s really is the pinnacle of luxury dining in Disney World.

There are 3 different ways to experience Victoria & Albert’s. First, there is the main Dining Room. This space features 2 Chef’s Tasting Menus to pick from. These menus feature multiple courses all designed by the chef de cuisine. The menus start at $295 per guest, optional wine pairings start at $150 per guest, and zero-proof pairings start at $110 per guest.

Then there is the Queen Victoria Room. This is a much more intimate space that only seats up to eight guests at a time. Guests also enjoy a version of the Chef’s Degustation Menu, but guests dining here typically get MORE courses than those in The Dining Room.

Pricing here is $375 per guest, with wine pairings starting at $200 per guest, and zero-proof pairings starting at $110 per guest.

Finally, there’s the Victoria and Albert’s Chef’s Table experience. This is an ultra-exclusive 3-hour dining experience where your party is seated in the kitchen. The guests get the chance to interact with the chefs as the team prepares their meals. You’ll get tasting samples and more as the chef tailors the feast to your group’s preferences.

There is usually just one seating per night for parties of up to 6 guests (with a minimum of 4). The meal is $425 per guest, with optional wine pairings starting at $200 per guest, and zero-proof pairings starting at $110 per guest.

What’s so special about Victoria & Albert’s? Well, throughout these various dining rooms and in the kitchen, the chefs craft unique dishes inspired by the season with fresh ingredients. Plus, they use innovative techniques to both create and present dishes, making them unlike anything else you’ve likely ever had.

The wine menu here is MASSIVE and you’ll even find an entire menu dedicated to WATER (no, we’re not kidding). If you want to experience the BEST of what Disney World has to offer when it comes to dining, this is IT. This is also a great pick for those who love multi-course meals (where you get the chance to sample a whole bunch of smaller dishes) and those who are celebrating a special occasion. It’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime meals.

If you’re on a tight budget, aren’t into fine dining, or prefer to eat one LARGER meal, then this might be a skip.

If you do opt to come here, just keep in mind that a stricter dress code is in effect than what you might be used to elsewhere in Disney World. Guests are expected to dress in formal/semi-formal attire — so bring those fancy clothes!
