If you’ve been a reader of our site for a bit, you might know that we have a large Disney discussion forum where folks from all around the world gather and chat about all kinds of different topics, including the Disney theme parks. At the beginning of each new year, we like to take a look back at some of the discussion threads that were popular over the past year, so let’s take a peek at the top ten threads for 2022.

In this thread, the original poster (OP) found out that she was pregnant just three weeks before they were heading out to Disneyland and asked for opinions on which attractions others felt comfortable riding when they were pregnant. As you’d expect, lots of moms who have experienced a similar situation weighed in with all sorts of advice.

One of the most popular forums on DISboards.com holds the thread in the number eight spot, and it’s all about Disney Genie. Those two words bring out lots of feelings in amongst Disney fans, good, bad, and indifferent. In this thread, posters are only discussing tips, strategies, and how to use Disney Genie.

This community-based thread was started to assist Universal Annual Pass Holders in securing discounted rates that may apply to their desired dates of stay. In the thread, posters stop by to report their dates/findings of APH rates in order to help others secure their discounted rates.
6.) ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2022 | by @pangyal | Purchasing DVC
Each quarter, a Right of First Refusal (ROFR) thread is started on the Purchasing DVC forum. Right of First Refusal is the option Disney Vacation Club has to purchase any resale package after a sales price has been agreed upon, and a contract has been executed. The thread is where people who are buying into Disney Vacation Club on the resale market come to report on whether or not DVC exercised its ROFR on each sale. You can learn more about ROFR here.

Oddly enough, I feel like this thread has been in our top ten every year for a few years now if my memory serves me well (it doesn’t always…ahem). Regardless, here we are, and if you’ve ever experienced an earring back stuck in your ear, this might be the thread for you.

There are so many ways to get deals on Disney Gift Cards that it’ll make your head spin; at least, it did mine. If there is a new deal that can be had, you are sure to find it posted on the Budget Board, where all kinds of budget-friendly advice is shared, whether it’s saving money on gift card purchases or with coupons at your local grocery store.

2020 was an interesting year for Walt Disney World. For the first time in the Resort’s history, all of the theme parks were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and remained as such for four months. When the parks reopened in July 2020, Disney fans around the world were incredibly curious about how things were going and wanted to hear from folks who visited the parks right after the reopening. This thread is where folks came to report back on their experiences and because it was the first time this had ever happened, it was uber-popular.

In October of 2021, planning a Disney vacation became a bit more difficult with Disney Genie. What was originally intended to make planning more seamless with suggestions for your park day, dining reservations, and more, added a level of confusion that many guests still have a difficult time wrapping their heads around. Adding Genie+, Individual Lightning Lane, and changing what fans have known for years as FastPass+ to Lightning Lanes seemed to add even more confusion in addition to requiring that folks have a mobile device in their hands for a lot of their days.
The fact that this thread is in the number one spot for the entire year of 2022 is very telling. Folks still have questions and need a lot of tips and advice with all of these new(ish) pieces of planning. Hop into this thread if you are looking to learn more or even if you think you know all there is to know already. You never know; you might just learn something new!
