TikTok user @thenostalgiclatino shared a video this week of another guest at Disneyland with a sparkling firework taking pictures in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The firework is on top of a Mickey-inspired cake. As the guest poses, a guest services Cast Member (in the plaid jacket) walks by and stops them while on the phone asking for security.
As listed in the official Disneyland Resort rules, “Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines” are prohibited.
Guest behavior has gotten so egregious in the past few years, that Disneyland Resort added a “courtesy” reminder to their Know Before You Go page. Last summer, the Anaheim Police Department responded to calls regarding assault, arson, vandalism, brandishing a firearm, and more. In October, two guests jumped into the water of Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure, reportedly to retrieve a lost item.
There have been even more reports of guests breaking the rules and often getting into physical fights at Walt Disney World. Earlier this month, a guest shared a video of herself flashing her chest in the window of a Disney Skyliner gondola. This week, a sheriff’s report revealed that a man who had previously been trespassed from Walt Disney World snuck back in and stole several items, including an iPhone.
