In a new TikTok video, Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Creative Director Jonathan Friday shared a closer look at one of the details of the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway queue.
The queue, inside the themed El CapiTOON Theater, will take guests through the “Mickey Through the Ears” exhibit and past parodies of iconic movie posters featuring Mickey and friends to a concession stand.
At the concession stand, the registers display totals of 11.18 and 19.28, representing Mickey and Minnie’s birthday of November 18, 1928.
Among the cartoon-ish candy is a popcorn machine.
The popcorn is being spun by a little mouse figure.
And even the popcorn (or “PROPcorn”) is Mickey-shaped, complete with his ears and nose. Unfortunately, the popcorn and candies are not for actual purchase and consumption.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open to guests in just a few days, on January 27, 2023. The rest of Mickey’s Toontown will reopen in March.
