EPCOT’s 2023 Festival of the Arts has begun and will only last through February 20th, 2023, so you need to act fast! You can click here to see the full menus for ALL of the Festival booths, or check out the complete list of the concerts you’ll be able to catch. No matter what you need, we’ve got you covered! And now, we’re taking you with us to the Goshiki booth in the Japan pavilion to check out all of the NEW items and see which are a MUST buy!
Menu
Over at the Goshiki booth you’ll find 1 returning dish and 1 returning drink — everything else is NEW!
Don’t worry, the popular Sushi Donut is still on the menu, it’s just now joined by a new sweet treat, a new entree with a pork cutlet, and a NEW sake drink with lemonade! Let’s check them all out.
Eats
First, we picked up the Rainbow Katsu Sando. This NEW dish features a Pork cutlet sandwich with tangy tonkatsu sauce and cabbage in rainbow sweet bread. It’s priced at $6.50.
The bread on this was almost sweet, but it balanced really well with the crispy pork. The pork was somehow still juicy and was delicious with a little bit of sauce and coleslaw. The textures are what really won this item for us!

The other new menu item is the Ichigo Daifuku. This is made with Mixed berry mochi, sweet azuki bean paste, and mascarpone. This will cost you $6.75.
We initially really enjoyed the flavors on this, with the fresh berries and the light filling. But after we got further into it, there was too much mochi dough which made it very chewy. Unless you really really love a lot of mochi dough, we would recommend you avoid this!

The final item here is the Sushi Donut, which is Donut-shaped sushi featuring salmon, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, and sesame seed over a decorated plate of wasabi aïoli, sriracha aïoli, and eel sauce. It’s priced at $8.25 this year.
The sushi donut tends to be pretty popular here as it presents sushi in a fun way. When we’ve had it in the past, we’ve felt like the fish has been VERY FRESH and practically melts in your mouth. The same was true this year, but we do think that it needed some additional soy sauce due to the sheer volume of rice that comes on the plate.
We also had to grab this returning fan-favorite: the Sushi Donut! It’s donut-shaped sushi featuring salmon, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, and sesame seed over a decorated plate of wasabi aioli, sriracha aioli, and eel sauce for $8.25. pic.twitter.com/wLYJxXg7f4

The sauces that go along with the sushi donut are also typically very good and serve as a nice complement to the flavors of the dish as a whole.
Drinks
Next, let’s talk about the drinks! New to the menu is the Sui Sui Watercolor Lager, priced at $5 for a small portion or $10 for the larger cup.
This drink was delicious and rather sweet for a lager, very fruity. It reminded us of the hibiscus lager from previous festivals, and a great option if you want something a little unique!
Also new to the menu is a Purple Yuzu Sake Lemonade. This is a Sake cocktail infused with butterfly pea flower and yuzu lemonade. You can order it for $8.50.
We were big fans of this drink, considering it was light and not overwhelmingly alcoholic. It had a pretty strong floral flavor and a good amount of tart from the lemonade. We would definitely order it again!
The final menu item is a returning drink (and a popular pick) — the Masu Sake in a traditional personalized wooden cup. It’s priced at $12.50. It’s a fan favorite here because of the cup it comes in, which makes for a unique and custom souvenir! Plus you get sake too, so that doesn’t hurt.
And that’s a look at Goshiki!
OVERALL
Overall, Goshiki offers a little bit of everything this year — familiarity with the popular sushi donut and sake, and newness with the unique items added to the menu this year. We loved the Rainbow Katsu, but the Ichigo Daifuku is probably going to be a skip for us on return visits. However, things might change from day to day, so if you stop by to try it, make sure to share your thoughts with us!
