Amid TRON Lightcycle / Run Previews, Some Work STILL Isn’t Done at Disney World’s New Ride

We’re just a few short weeks away from a VERY big day in Disney World!

Opening soon!

We’ve been waiting on the reopening of TRON Lightcycle / Run for years now, and on April 4th, it finally opens to the public! We’ve already gotten the chance to ride thanks to Cast Member previews and we’re still awaiting the registration for Annual Passholder previews, but we’re one step closer to the big day. So what does the ride look like NOW? Is the construction complete?

Leading up to the opening of the attraction, the entrances and exits are completely blocked with rolling hedges. The only guests let through and up near the ride at this time are those with scheduled ride previews.

One entrance is located near Tomorrowland Light & Power Company, while the other is over by The Barnstormer. That one is currently being used as an exit only.

You get a pretty great birds-eye view of the ride from the PeopleMover, and from this angle, we can see that not all the construction is complete yet. There are still rolling hedges in front of a small section near the entrance of the ride. It looks like more landscaping is being installed there.

But once you get up to the ride building, everything is complete! The coaster is, of course, all ready to go, and at nighttime, the dome lights up in shades of blue.

We can’t wait to see everything complete and officially open in the next few weeks! We’ll be there on opening day to bring you all the news, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest.
