An audition notification that popped up on the Disney Careers website a few weeks ago has the internet rumbling with rumors, fuelling a particular one that has been circulating for a few years now. One of the theories presented is that Disney might be working on a new musical for California Adventure Park’s Hyperion Theatre to the tune of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from being perfectly suited to the nearby Avenger’s Campus, the details of a few of the roles sound vaguely familiar. Have a read and see what you think:
- Role #2/Featured Principal – Female identifying, mid 20’s to early 30’s. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano. Style: contemporary musical theatre. Brave, resourceful and intelligent. Must have a strong English accent.

Is anyone else getting Captain America vibes? Could this be the fictional Rogers: The Musical becoming not-so-fictional, as hinted at the 2022 D23 convention? Other theories include everything from Hercules to Spider-man, with some most likely than others. Let us know what you think; what could this new musical coming to Disneyland’s Hyperion Theatre be?
